If you are a reseller on platforms such as eBay, Poshmark, Mercari, or Etsy then you must know how to take general clothing measurements.
Aside from listing the item size having detailed measurements for customers is essential in my book. Being a tall girl I understand the importance of knowing pant length prior to purchasing them. These are the measurements I always include when measuring pants to list on eBay or Poshmark.
Measurements for Pants
Rise | The distance from the middle of the crotch seam (right between your legs) to the top of the waistband. It usually ranges from 6 inches to 12 inches. |
Inseam | The length from the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg |
Outseam | The outer length of the pants – measured from the top of the waistband, down the side to the bottom of the hem. |
Hip | The fullest part of the pants x 2 |
Waist | The waistband x 2 |
Leg Opening | The opening at the bottom of the pants |
