As resellers, we are always on the grind and pursuing our hustle we have to remember to ask ourselves, at what expense is my success?
But as we focus on our goals and head on the road to success, it is inevitable that something (or someone) fall by the wayside. If we are focused on gaining traction in one area of our lives, we are losing focus on another. Make sure that your ‘success’ doesn’t cost you a lot more than you are willing to pay.
How do you do this?
1. Count the cost
Take inventory of what you are putting off by pursuing success: family, health etc and decide if it’s worth it
2. Stay balanced
There may be times that you have to give your work, studies or whatever you are pursuing your all. But we weren’t made to live like this for a lifetime.
Remember to remain balanced, too much of a good thing will ultimately become a bad thing!
Have a cut off time from work so that you can spend more time with your loved ones, read that book you’ve been putting off, or just soak in a much-needed bath.
Success will come, but you don’t want to look back and regret putting those that need to be first in your life
3. Take care of you
I went through a period in life where I was so stressed and had so much on my plate that I was literally and physically making myself sick. Don’t do this to yourself. When you need to take a break.
Taking breaks is just as important as working and they are also a large part of achieving success.
Take time to nourish, rejuvenate, and rest when you need it. If you have to, schedule this time into your calendar daily.
Remember, you can not pour from an empty cup. So take care of yourself!
4. Say No
Say no, more than you say yes. Narrow down your focus to a couple of projects and refuse to take on more than you know you can.
Here’s to your success, whatever that looks like! Court 🙂
